What is a .hxx file?
A .hxx file is a C++ header. Its registered MIME type is text/x-c++hdr, which places it in the text family of formats.
Technically it is a specialised form of text/x-chdr (the .h format), so tools that understand that format can often read at least part of it.
HXX is a text-based format: the contents are readable characters, so any text editor can open it, and it compresses well.
