Terms of Use
The rules for using TapToConvert. In short: it is free, use it for files you have the right to convert, and do not abuse it.

By using TapToConvert (taptoconvert.com, "the site") you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. Questions go to support@taptoconvert.com.
The service
The site offers free tools to convert, compress and edit files. Most of them run inside your browser; some conversions run on our server, as each of those pages states. There is no account and no charge. We may add, change or remove tools, formats and limits at any time, and the site may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance or reasons outside our control.
Your files and your responsibility
You keep every right you have in the files you convert; we claim none. You are responsible for having the right to use, copy and convert them. Do not use the site to remove copy protection or DRM, to infringe anyone's copyright or other rights, or to process material that is illegal where you live. The site does not store or publish your files, so it cannot be used to share them with others.
Fair use
Use the site as a person would: converting your own files through the pages. Do not attack, overload or probe the site or its servers, work around size or rate limits, or call the conversion server or its pages automatically with scripts or bots, and do not upload files designed to harm the service. We may block access that breaks these rules.
No warranty
The tools are provided "as is" and "as available", without any warranty. Conversions are done by software and may lose formatting, quality or data, especially for complex files. Keep your original file and check the result before you rely on it or delete the original.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, TapToConvert and the people who run it are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site, including lost data, lost profits or indirect loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Third parties and advertising
The site loads code, fonts and models from third-party services and may show advertising, as described in the privacy policy. Links and ads that lead to other websites are not under our control, and those sites' own terms apply there.
Open-source software
The conversions rely on open-source software such as ffmpeg, pdf-lib, qpdf, libarchive, LibreOffice, Calibre, Ghostscript and Inkscape. Their licences apply to those components, and their authors are not responsible for this site.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The new version will be posted on this page with a new date, and continuing to use the site after that means you accept it.
