What is a .mjpg file?
A .mjpg file is a MJPEG video stream. Its registered MIME type is video/x-mjpeg, which places it in the video family of formats.
MJPEG stands for Motion JPEG.
Technically it is a specialised form of image/jpeg (the .jfif format), so tools that understand that format can often read at least part of it.
MJPG is a binary format: the contents are not readable text, so opening it in a text editor shows scrambled characters.
