What is a .log file?
A .log file is a plain text document. Its registered MIME type is text/plain, which places it in the text family of formats.
LOG is a text-based format: the contents are readable characters, so any text editor can open it, and it compresses well.
The same format is also saved with the extensions .asc, .conf, .def, .in, .ini, .list.

How to open LOG files
